Care for the Arctic

A collaborative Arctic tourism framework for responsible, resilient, community-minded tourism.

Care for the Arctic creates space for the tourism industry to explore what responsible, resilient, and community-minded tourism could look like in the Yukon. Originally developed by the Swedish Lapland Visitors Board, it is a collaborative Arctic tourism framework encouraging destinations, businesses, organizations, and visitors to work together toward a more responsible and resilient future for Arctic tourism.

Why it matters in the Yukon

As tourism continues to grow and evolve, Care for the Arctic encourages the industry to think about how tourism can keep contributing positively to the Yukon while helping protect the places, cultures, and communities that make the territory unique.
